Tulsa Advertising Agencies Honored at the American Advertising Federation’s 10th District Awards
Several Tulsa advertising agencies were recently honored in the American Advertising Federation 10th District Awards (ADDY) in Houston, Texas. The 10th District represents markets in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana.

Tulsa agencies won more Gold ADDY Awards than some of the larger markets such as Oklahoma City and San Antonio. Based on the ratio of awards to population, Tulsa earned the highest number of total ADDY Awards.

Tulsa agencies that won creative awards include: Amatucci Photography, Brothers & Company, Cubic, David Clark Design, Littlefield, Hampton Creative, Philbrook Museum of Art, Raffe Photography, Tulsa Ballet, Walsh Branding and Winnercomm, Inc.

Tulsa students were also recently honored during the American Advertising Federation 10th District National Student Advertising Competition. The University of Tulsa (TU) Student Advertising Competition Team won first place in two categories and placed third overall.

Overall, TU won more awards than any other competing university. TU took home the award for “Best Promotional Concept” and also had several individuals who were honored.  Tulsa student Justin Brown won “Best Presenter”,  while long-time advertising executive and 15-year University of Tulsa adjunct professor Bill Hinkle won top honors as “Educator of the Year” for the 10th District.

Through events like the ADDY Awards and the National Student Advertising Competition, Tulsa proves that it has the knowledge and creative talent within its universities and advertising agencies to measure up to markets much larger in size.
